We believe in a hunger-free community!
The Cowichan Valley Basket Society, with the backing of the local community, successfully distributed food through the hamper program, valued at over 1.1 million dollars. Additionally, we provided snacks, coffee, and lunch in the dining room, with a value of 1.2 million dollars.

Donations of canned goods, dry goods, & fresh produce are always welcome.
Food can be dropped off between 9 am and 3:30 pp – Monday to Saturday
We always have a need for the following items:
- Canned Tuna, Canned Chicken, Canned Ham and Canned Turkey
- Peanut Butter and Jam
- Breakfast Cereal, Pancake mix and Syrup
- Soups, Canned Chili or Stews
- Juices (1 liter & drinking boxes), Children’s Lunch Snack Items, Granola Bars,
- Bottled Water
- Side Kicks, Macaroni & Cheese, Rice and Pasta
- Canned Vegetables and Canned Fruits,
- Sugar, Coffee, Condiments (Mayonnaise, Ketchup, Mustard and Relish)
- Cat & Dog Food
- Laundry Soap, Travel Soaps and Shampoo
- Reusable Grocery Bags
- All kinds of Gluten Free food
